I ordered mofongo with vegetables and plantains. The plantains were probably the best I've ever had. Rather than chopped in chunks, they are sliced into ribbons which provides greater tenderness and much more surface area for flavor. Just perfect. The roasted veggies that came along with my mofongo were blackened and seasoned perfectly. Really good. The mofongo, though, was dry. Really dry. Perhaps some sauce would have helped but none was included or offered. I would definitely go back but will try something else (and will definitely get those plantains again). I would also suggest calling ahead if you plan to take out. Everything is made to order which is great but, of course, takes some time.
Found Sol Sazon on nearby restaurants. Was very excited to taste authentic Dominican food. The person who served us was very nice and explained what the food items were. It had a great atmosphere, and was clean. Definitely recommend!!
